How are we calculating this?

Total Pods: The sum of what you buy plus what you get free.
Bonus Ratio: The percentage of extra pods you get relative to what you paid for (Free / Buy).

Effective % Off: The "real" discount. We divide your free pods by the total haul.
Effective $/Pod: The most important number. We take the Total Cost and divide it by Total Pods (including the free ones).

Why does this exist?

This tool was born out of a real kitchen table debate. I was helping my partner crunch the numbers to figure out if the big stock-up deal was actually mathematically better than the smaller options.

After furiously scribbling ratios on a napkin to calculate the true cost per pod, she looked up and said, "You know, other people might actually want to know this too." So, I built this site to help everyone else find the best deal without the napkin math.
